Nike x Supreme Air Max 2001 Air Ecstasy 'Black' (2026)

Supreme and Nike revive an obscure piece of Y2K running history with the Air Max 2001 Air Ecstasy ‘Black’, bringing back the experimental silhouette originally associated with Nike’s Alpha Project era. The upper features a predominantly black quilted mesh construction, with horizontal TPU strips wrapping around the sidewalls and heel. Supreme branding is woven into the TPU structure, while reflective detailing adds a technical edge to the stealthy colourway. Underneath, the visible Air cushioning completing the unmistakably early-2000s aesthetic.

Originally released around the turn of the millennium, the Air Max 2000 family formed part of Nike’s experimental Alpha Project, combining futuristic upper construction with substantial visible Air cushioning. Supreme’s interpretation retains the silhouette’s distinctive Y2K proportions while adding its own signature branding through the reworked TPU overlays. As one of three colourways released for the collaboration, the ‘Black’ offers the most understated take on Supreme’s unexpected return to one of Nike’s forgotten running designs.
