Vans and BAPE continue their collaborative series with the Knu Skool ‘Black Camo’, applying A Bathing Ape’s signature military-inspired aesthetic to Vans’ chunky skate icon. The upper features BAPE’s ABC Camo pattern in a stealthy black and charcoal palette, creating a tonal camouflage effect across the canvas panels. Black suede overlays reinforce the toe, eyestays, and heel, while the oversized padded tongue and thick 3D Sidestripe preserve the exaggerated proportions that define the Knu Skool silhouette. BAPE STA branding replaces the traditional Vans Sidestripe on one side, complemented by Bathing Ape lace deubrés, shark tooth detailing around the rubber midsole, and co-branded elements throughout the design. A translucent outsole reveals a subtle checkerboard pattern underneath, adding a hidden detail to the monochromatic execution.
